Matthew Judon has become a key member of the New England Patriots.
However, following the 2024 season, he is set to be a free agent. And so his time with the Patriots could be coming to an end. But it would not be wise for New England to let that happen.
And there are rumors that extension talks have begun. Yet, no one has told Judon.
The linebacker responded to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. And his comment said it all.
"Who ain't tell gm Judy??," he wrote.

This stemmed from an initial report from ESPN's Mike Reiss that both sides have "begun to preliminarily explore" an extension.
But it seems it hasn't been enough to involve Judon.
The Patriots restructured Judon's contract last summer, reducing his 2024 base salary to $6.5 million. But he made more in 2023.
He is coming off a torn bicep, having only played in four games last season. However, his production since joining New England cannot be ignored.
In 2021, Judon finished with 38 tackles and 12.5 total sacks, with one fumble recovery. The best season of the career came in 2022, with 15.5 total sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
And while he did get injured in 2023, he still had four sacks in four games. So going into this next season, he has an extra chip on his shoulder.
And Judon made sure to tell everyone that he is ready to go.
“Got to surgery and it started healing really fast,” Judon said on Good Morning Football earlier this month. “I was trying to come back. But I didn’t get to come back this year. I got a lot in store next year.”
“We’re just working hard to get back all the strength and flexibility, and we’re there now,” he added. “It’s been a long time. So for that, I’m doing well.”
Let's get the 2024 season (and those extension talks) started.
